Summer Camp Questions

Check Out Some FAQ'S

We want our parents to feel comfortable while their children are attending summer camp here at Camp Rock!

Camper Age Groupings

Camp Rock offers summer camp for children ages 4 years old (fully potty trained) up to age 12 years. Campers are grouped by age. Some ages will be combined based on class size and summer camp registration. Camp Rock does not provide one-on-one assistance for campers.

The following age groups are more likelly to have activities scheduled around the same time (i.e. Lunch Shift, Special Guests, Presentations):

  • 4-5 Years (Must be age on the date of 1st attendance and fully potty trained)
  • 6-7 Years
  • 8-9 Years
  • 10-12 Years

Leaders in Training

NEW- Preteen "Leaders in Training Program" (Ages 13-15) previously enrolled campers

Campers who are now 13 and attended Camp Rock during previous camp seasons may apply to be a part of the "Leaders in Training" program. Only a few will be selected each summer to participate.

Staff to Camper Ratios

On average we follow a 1:15 staff to camper ratio. Keeping our summer camp class sizes at this minimum allows us to get to know our campers well and makes for an even better camp experience.

Camp Hours of Operation

Camp Rock's day officially begins at 8:00 AM. We offer before-care services from 7-8 AM. All campers enrolled in the before care program must be dropped off by no later than 7:30 AM. Campers arriving after 7:30 AM will need to wait in the car line that begins at 8:00 AM

Camp Rock's day officially ends at 4:00 PM. We offer after-care services from 4-6 PM. Campers must be picked up by no later than 4:15 p.m. to avoid late pick-up fees.

Lunch Options

Campers may bring their own lunch and or purchase a weekly hot lunch pass. Camp lunches are served at summer camp each day.

A snack will be provided daily to campers. We also have a "Snack Shack" available for campers to purchase snacks in addition to their lunch during their lunch period. Campers may bring cash, load funds onto their Camp Rock account, or purchase a "Camp Rock Snack Shack Go Pass" to the Snack Shack. The "Snack Shack Go Pass" enables cardholders to receive discounted snowballs, a weekly prize, and a daily standard item from the Snack Shack.

Campers bringing lunch should note the following stipulations:

  • We are a "NUT FREE" facility: we do have various campers and staff with nut allergies. No food is permitted containing nuts! Sunbutter is permissible!

  • Campers bringing lunch should be able to prep their meal and manage their meals on their own. Please pack items that your child can easily open to minimize food handling.

  • Campers will NOT have access to heat their food. Please place items needing to remain at a warm temperature inside a thermos or temperature-controlled container.

  • Campers should have their lunch box containers clearly labeled with their full name.

  • Please utilize cooling aids for lunches requiring cooling outside of "cool room temperatures."

Swimming

Our swimming pool ranges from 3.5 ft. to a gradual increase to 5.5 ft. in depth. All Campers must complete a water buoyancy test and pass a swim test administered by our certified lifeguard in order to utilize our swimming pool during summer camp.

Camper passing additional swim test are permitted to the deep end. Our pool is securely gated and monitored while in operation by a certified lifeguard on duty who is also CPR/First Aid certified.

  • Splash pools and water activities are available for our younger campers to get wet if they are unable to pass the swim test or if parents prefer they do not use the pool.

  • Campers on average get wet in some form or fashion every day and may use the pool several times throughout the week but should come with their swimsuits on daily.

  • We do have other water activities and water inflatable slides for older campers unable to pass the swim test.
